Are you a student with a deep passion for birds and birding? Look no further! Los Angeles Birders - Students (LAB-S) offers a local birding community of like-minded students that is sure to match your birding interests at your level of experience.
Los Angeles Birders - Students (LAB-S) provides a caring and welcoming community with friendship, fun, and learning opportunities for all students who have a passion for wild birds and their habitats.
What do LAB-Students do? LAB-Students:
- Connect with other students interested in birds
- Prepare and deliver oral presentations and written reports
- Create and publish bi-monthly student newsletters
- Take part in secure bird photo sharing, bird identification help, eBird assistance, and more
- Participate in field sketching workshops
- Play a significant role in community science activities
- Take part in community outreach activities to promote conservation and science
- Attend birding field trips
- Participate in eBird Trip Reports
- Utilize LAB-Student Scholarships to attend birding camps and/or take bird related courses
Membership in Los Angeles Birders - Students (LAB-S)
Join us by becoming a member and open a whole new world of birding, birds, and friendships! Students are often between the ages of 6 and 21, but age is not a barrier. For only $10, you will have the opportunity to connect with like-minded students, make new friends, engage with experts and participate in a safe online community where you can share birding photos, outreach events, science-based projects, and advance your birding skills and knowledge in a safe and supportive community.
