Photo and Sound Bird Identification Quiz

Join our host Mark Scheel, who will show photos and play sounds of difficult-to-identify birds that have been seen and heard in Southern California. Mark will be accompanied by a panel of experts: Jon Feenstra, Kimball Garrett, and Dessi Sieburth, who will discuss the identification of each species, and how to tell it apart from similar birds. Each bird will be presented in the form of a quiz, and for each bird, every Zoom participant can vote on their suggested identification. Votes will be counted immediately and totals displayed: let’s see how well crowdsourcing does compared to the experts!
